2006 Ridgeline Maintenance Schedule
Maintenance Minder
This Maintenance Minder System has been designed specifically for the requirements of the Ridgeline.
One of the most convenient and important features on your Ridgeline is the advanced technology of the
Maintenance Minder System. The maintenance requirements for your Ridgeline are determined by an internal algorithm, which considers the engine starting temperature, driving distance and engine RPM. The onboard computer also judges your driving conditions and habits, and then calculates the remaining engine oil life, displaying it as a percentage. The technology of the Maintenance Minder System allows you to enjoy your Ridgeline without the worry of when you are due for your next servicing.
Engine Oil Life and Maintenance Minder System
On all Ridgeline models, the remaining engine oil life and maintenance service symbols are displayed in the Odometer/Trip Meter area. As part of the Maintenance Minder System, a separate "wrench" icon also appears indicating that required maintenance service is due.
When the ignition switch is turned ON, press the SELECT button repeatedly until the remaining engine oil life is displayed as a percentage in the Odometer/Trip Meter area.
When the remaining engine oil life is 15 per cent or less, you will see the message "SERVICE DUE SOON" every time the ignition switch is turned ON. This message changes between "SERVICE" and "DUE SOON" repeatedly. The Maintenance Minder indicator will also identify a complete list of other maintenance items that currently require servicing.
When the remaining engine oil life is less than 5 per cent, the message "SERVICE DUE NOW" will appear every time the ignition switch is turned ON. This message changes between "SERVICE" and "DUE NOW" repeatedly. The list of other required maintenance items will also be displayed every time the ignition switch is turned ON. When this message appears on your Maintenance Minder, have the oil changed as well the other indicated maintenance performed.
When the remaining engine oil life is 0 per cent, the message "SERVICE PAST DUE" will appear. This message changes between "SERVICE" and "PAST DUE" repeatedly. When this message appears on your Maintenance Minder, have the oil changed and other required maintenance performed as soon as possible.
If the oil change or other required maintenance items are not performed, a negative mileage number (i.e. -34KM) will appear with the message "PAST DUE". This negative number means that the required maintenance is now overdue by the indicated mileage (i.e. 34KM), and that it's time to immediately have the necessary services for your Ridgeline completed by your Honda Dealer.
Maintenance Icon
All maintenance items are shown in the Odometer/Trip Meter display. It indicates the Maintenance Main Symbol ("alpha") and Maintenance Sub-Symbols ("numeric"), as well as the Engine Oil Life as a percentage.
Your Honda Dealer will reset the display after completing the oil change and other required maintenance service. The next time you turn the ignition switch to ON, you will see the message "OIL LIFE 100%" on the display.
When you're this tough, you need some powerful servicing
Ridgeline breaks all the rules of what a truck should be. It's big, tough, powerful and packed with one innovation after another. And no one knows the intricacies of this finely tuned machine better than your factory trained Honda technician. So when the Maintenance Minder System informs you that it's time for servicing, remember to bring your Ridgeline home to your Honda Dealer. It's the only place where you'll get genuine Honda parts specifically designed for your Ridgeline to keep it running in peak condition, and the peace-of-mind of knowing that it's in the hands of those who know it inside out.
