There’s something to be said for a product that’s well aware of its best features and attributes; especially when it continually delivers on those things year after year, model after model.

Case in point: The 2018 Honda Pilot.

As the Pilot has matured in looks and features over the years, its current look is definitely its most appealing and modern. Sleek lines and rounded edges keep the 2018 Honda Pilot looking young and fresh, appealing to a much larger audience. Sporting Honda’s signature flying wing grille is largely portrayed I chrome across the front between decidedly angular and futuristic-looking headlights. Around back, the lines are clean and concise.

Inside the 2018 Honda Pilot, three rows occupy the space, which means you can squeeze seven or eight passengers in there, depending on how you configure your specific Pilot. Standard features such as Bluetooth, touchscreen audio, cruise control, air-conditioning, a 5.0” colour display will keep all on board happy. And optional features such as satellite radio, leather trim, DVD entertainment, heated and ventilated front seats only kick that comfort up a notch.

Opt for the Touring edition and you’ll find an 8.0” touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as an available 10-speaker audio system, and a power tailgate activated via your key remote.

As with the previous generation, the 2018 Honda Pilot is still available with only one engine choice: a 3.5L V6 that produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. From a standstill, the Pilot will hit the 100km/hr mark in roughly 7 seconds, and it can tow up to 5,000lbs. The standard transmission is a 6-speed automatic, however, upper trim levels have an optional 9-speed automatic available.

The 2018 Honda Pilot is equipped with driver select modes for specific terrain conditions, as well as an AWD system that detects slippage and adjusts accordingly to keep you safely on the road and headed in the right direction at all times. There’s also 7.3” of ground clearance.

The 2018 Honda Pilot has been named a top safety pick from IIHS, and has received 5 stars overall from NHTSA.
