The new Honda Civic 2022 unveiled, and it’s quite an event

Honda has unveiled the 11th generation of one of its most important models, if not the most important. It’s the 2022 Honda Civic, the all-new generation of Canada's most popular car for 23 years now!

If the Civic has been able to remain so popular, it is because it manages to reach many different types of buyers attracted by comfort, performance, safety, reliability, durability, affordable cost of ownership and the resale value of the Honda Civic.

As for the Honda Civic 2022, we are talking about improvements and changes at almost every level.

The 2022 Honda Civic gets an all-new, sportier redesigned exterior with hatchback looks that is based on an all-new, stiffer chassis. Honda claims that this new chassis will improve both comfort and performance. An extended wheelbase adds around 30 liters of interior passenger space while the trunk, at 419 liters, remains one of the most spacious in the segment.

Inside, the new design of the Honda Civic 2022 is unanimous. The sober and clear style of the dashboard is a success across the board. The Civic also receives a digital display for the instrument panel for the first time. The 10.2-inch screen will be available on the Civic Touring. A 7-inch or 9-inch central touch screen with a faster processor is also offered on the various versions.

In terms of equipment, the Civic 2022 does not disappoint. Among the novelties we find:

  • Heated steering wheel
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless system
  • High-end Bose audio system
  • Wireless charging for the mobile device
  • And much more!

The Honda Civic 2022 also gets a new low-speed traffic monitoring system and a LaneWatch system that allows you to see both sides. In addition, it offers an all-new innovative front airbag that helps reduce head rotation and provides better protection in frontal angled collisions.

Under the hood, the 2022 Honda Civic will still offer a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque on the majority of versions while the Touring version will be entitled to a 1.5-liter turbo engine developing 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. The turbo engine is therefore more powerful and all the models are also more fuel efficient with an average reduction in consumption of 0.3 l/100 km for the turbo and 0.2 l/100 km for the 2.0-litre engine.

The Honda Civic 2022 will arrive this summer.
